By train, starting in Zurich, arrival in Yverdon-les-Bains, capital of the ‘Nord Vaudois’, located on the South of Lac Neuchâtel. Visit of the ‘Maison d’Ailleurs’, a science fiction museum founded in 1976 by the writer Pierre VERSINS, the only museum in Europe dedicated to science-fiction, utopia, and extraordinary journeys, and has one of the largest collections of Jules Verne books in the world.
Relax with a massage at the Spa included in the price. The Yverdon-les-Bains springs are known for the therapeutic benefits.
Evening meal: optional at the Hotel in a 19th Century restaurant.

Arrival for an open day visit in Besançon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the VAUBAN fortifications, and located in an exceptional natural site with a quality of living that makes the town a very desirable place to live. Departure by train to Arc-et-Senans, 30 minute trip with one train per hour, and a visit to the Arc-et-Senans ‘Saline Royale’ (Royal Salt works), which a major salt production centre built in the 18th Century by the architect Claude Nicolas LEDOUX, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982 for the industrial architecture. Throughout the year, the Arc-et-Senans ‘Saline Royale’ (Royal Salt works) offers permanent exhibitions, of which a museum dedicated to the architect’s works which is unique in Europe, and new seasonal cultural programmes each year, temporary exhibits, the Gardens Festival, concerts, shows, and other events.

Return by train from Arc-et-Senans to Yverdon-les-Bains or to a train station of your choice.
